REVEREND KIM E. MOSS

‘If I can help someone along the way, Then let my living not be in vain"

 

Rev. Kim E. Moss was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts.  She has three adult children, three grandchildren and two great grand daughters. Rev. Moss is currently a resident of Lenoir, NC. She has earned degrees from: Shaw University (BA Psychology), Shaw Divinity School (Masters of Divinity) and North Carolina State University (Masters of Social Work). She is certified in Mediation and Arbitration. Rev. Moss is the Herstiographer for the Women In Ministry of The Second Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

 

Rev. Kim E. Moss is the newly appointed Sr. Pastor of St. Paul AME Church in Lenoir, NC and an Adjunct Professor of Religion at Lenoir-Rhyne University where she teaches Introduction to Christianity. Rev. Moss was the recipient of the 2017 Lenoir Rhyne Board of Trustees Award. She currently belongs to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated: Hickory Alumnae Chapter, where she has served as Chaplain.

 

Rev. Moss has retired from secular work. She was employed with Catawba Valley Regional Hospice-Chaplain, Social Worker and Counselor: Broughton Hospital – Department of Social Work, Clinical Social Worker and The City of Durham, City Manager’s Office-Office on Youth as Coordinator of Mayor’s Summer Youth Work Initiatives and Asst. Coordinator of Office on Youth, Advisor to Youth Council and co-producer of the former Durham Teen Scene (a TV show for teens by teens).  Rev. Moss is the immediate past-Chair of the Spirit of King Legacy Award, Executive Board member of LiveWell Catawba and member of the Greater Ministerial Alliance of Hickory.
