REVEREND DEBRA A. GRANT
Reverend. Debra A. Grant is an iterant elder in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. She currently serves as the Assistant Minister at Mt. Gilboa AME Church, Catonsville, Maryland, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Anita Gould. In this capacity, she leads the Church in the areas of Evangelism and Outreach.

Reverend Grant accepted her call to ministry under the leadership of Rev, now Bishop Harry L. Seawright (Presiding Prelate of the Ninth Episcopal District), then the Pastor of Union Bethel AME Church in Brandywine, Maryland. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from Bowie State University, and her Master of Divinity Degree from Howard University.

Reverend Grant retired after 37 years from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. She was employed as a Writer Editor in the Office of Inspector General.

In addition to serving as Assistant Minister at Mt. Gilboa, Reverend Grant is currently the Secretary for the Second District Women in Ministry. She also took part in a medical mission this August, ministering to the brothers and sisters in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Reverend Grant is currently pursuing her Doctor of Divinity Degree at Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, D.C.

Reverend Grant’s favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your way submit to Him and He will make your paths straight.” She believes that if you trust the Lord there is no limit to where He can take you.
