The Second Episcopal District African Methodist Episcopal Church
Women In Ministry
Mission
The mission of the Second Episcopal District Women In Ministry (SEDWIM) is to meet the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of women in ministry. It is designed to encourage women to grow in their faith in Christ, to develop and strengthen intimate friendships with other women, and to provide opportunities to serve and reach our community for Christ. We are clergy women of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds who hold a variety of gifts, talents and skills. We cherish and work to be advocates on behalf of all women clergy, the young and the not as young! We seek to share the incredible strengths and resources found in the African Methodist Episcopal Church so that we may be better, wiser and stronger in carrying out God's ministry and mission in the world.
This call involves a commitment to train, develop, inspire and instill within clergy women (local; itinerant, evangelist, exhorter etc.) the desire to fulfill their potential in life with a sense of dignity, determination and destiny.
